Whatever the human mind can conceive of and believe, it can accomplish. Others are not always capable of establishing the true identity. They see what they ‘want’ to see but beyond your mess, God sees the beauty He created and still thinks it’s perfect! Note that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.
God has planned ways of living for all of us, but it is up to us to choose how. We all have had days (and perhaps even years) when life just doesn’t seem to go our way. It’s almost always mental, when there’s a road block in your way. When you place a kind of mental road block it becomes something to be afraid of. You may doubt that you can achieve the next goal or milestone, but it’s just your mind that is playing tricks on you. Don’t judge by the harvest you are harvesting every day, but by the seeds you are planting, and because you haven’t closed the deal today, it doesn’t mean you’re never going to. Don’t expect that people will bring happiness to your life. Bring in your own happiness, because some people are extremely good in snaffling back what they gave, when you’re no longer worthwhile for them. Believe life is worth living, and your conviction will help create the truth. Don’t let anyone ever dull your sparkle and try to love your life and live it without competing with the next person, so you can be the best person the world has ever had. Remember always that your character should be greater than your circumstances, and always make a total effort, even if the odds are against you because everything has elegance, but not everyone can see. Never forget that nothing happens unless you do it!
When a trial comes upon us, we
tend to think, “Why me? What have I done wrong?” We may have done
nothing wrong. Trials are necessary for growth. No matter what storm you face,
you need to know that God loves you. He has not abandoned you.
The purpose of trials is not to
make our life difficult and sad. God gives us tailor-made situations so that we
can see the sin which dwells within us – so that we can acknowledge the truth
and become happy and free. Trials reveal how we are by nature. We are able to
see, for example, that we place demands on others, or that we are unthankful or
impatient. But being able to see our own nature is God’s great grace. It is
light from heaven that makes things clear for us. In this way, we can partake
of divine nature in this specific situation. Trials should not surprise
us, or cause us to doubt God’s faithfulness. Rather, we should actually be glad
for them. God sends trials to strengthen our trust in him so that our faith
will not fail. Our trials keep us trusting; they burn away our self-confidence
and drive us to God.
When it seems as if God is far
away, remind yourself that He is near. Nearness is not a matter of geography.
God is everywhere. With any trial, you wonder why. You evaluate your actions,
your mistakes, your sins. You repent, fast and pray. You cry out to God with
more emotion than you knew you possessed. If you are normal, you have moments
of anger, perhaps even doubt. Here is where we can produce fruit or destroy it.
With God’s help, we must forcibly evict these carnal thoughts from our minds.
We cannot allow seeds of doubt to germinate, and if they do, they cannot be
allowed to grow. We must look forward and deal with the situation. No sane
person sits around, wishing he had a trial. That is absurd. No one is ecstatic
to find himself encompassed in pain. Only when you have faced your troubles and
started to fight can you begin to see even a glimmer of a positive result at
Count it all joy, my brothers,
when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your
faith produces steadfastness. Not only is there a cause for every problem, but
there are also solutions to most. God can show us how to resolve them without
compromising on what is right. We need to go to Him for those answers. God, who
gives us life and all the things that make life enjoyable, is not indifferent
to our sufferings. He has great plans for us in the future. He is moulding us
to become His children for all eternity. In order for that to happen, changes
must take place in our character. We have to become like Him. That process
includes trials and testing. With God help, we can place the outcome of the
trial in God’s hands and in confidence know that in some way good can come to
us if we stay true to His ways.
