When a trial comes upon us, we
tend to think, “Why me? What have I done wrong?” We may have done
nothing wrong. Trials are necessary for growth. No matter what storm you face,
you need to know that God loves you. He has not abandoned you.
The purpose of trials is not to
make our life difficult and sad. God gives us tailor-made situations so that we
can see the sin which dwells within us – so that we can acknowledge the truth
and become happy and free. Trials reveal how we are by nature. We are able to
see, for example, that we place demands on others, or that we are unthankful or
impatient. But being able to see our own nature is God’s great grace. It is
light from heaven that makes things clear for us. In this way, we can partake
of divine nature in this specific situation. Trials should not surprise
us, or cause us to doubt God’s faithfulness. Rather, we should actually be glad
for them. God sends trials to strengthen our trust in him so that our faith
will not fail. Our trials keep us trusting; they burn away our self-confidence
and drive us to God.
When it seems as if God is far
away, remind yourself that He is near. Nearness is not a matter of geography.
God is everywhere. With any trial, you wonder why. You evaluate your actions,
your mistakes, your sins. You repent, fast and pray. You cry out to God with
more emotion than you knew you possessed. If you are normal, you have moments
of anger, perhaps even doubt. Here is where we can produce fruit or destroy it.
With God’s help, we must forcibly evict these carnal thoughts from our minds.
We cannot allow seeds of doubt to germinate, and if they do, they cannot be
allowed to grow. We must look forward and deal with the situation. No sane
person sits around, wishing he had a trial. That is absurd. No one is ecstatic
to find himself encompassed in pain. Only when you have faced your troubles and
started to fight can you begin to see even a glimmer of a positive result at
Count it all joy, my brothers,
when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your
faith produces steadfastness. Not only is there a cause for every problem, but
there are also solutions to most. God can show us how to resolve them without
compromising on what is right. We need to go to Him for those answers. God, who
gives us life and all the things that make life enjoyable, is not indifferent
to our sufferings. He has great plans for us in the future. He is moulding us
to become His children for all eternity. In order for that to happen, changes
must take place in our character. We have to become like Him. That process
includes trials and testing. With God help, we can place the outcome of the
trial in God’s hands and in confidence know that in some way good can come to
us if we stay true to His ways.
You alone have the power to determine your value. Don’t let somebody else paste a discount sticker on you because you’re priceless.
When your self-worth goes up, your net worth goes up with it because we all have values, they are as much a part of us as our blood types or our genetic makeup. They are as unique to us as our individual thumbprints. Our core values determine what’s really important and meaningful to us. Values are who you are in your own deepest nature, not who you think you should be in order to fit in. They’re like a compass that points us to our “true north.” When the way you think, speak and behave match your values, life feels very good and you feel whole, content, in your power. But when these don’t align with your personal values, then things feel wrong. Life feels uneasy. You feel out of touch, discontented, restless and unhappy.
God does not love us because we are valuable; rather we are valuable because God loves us. Live your life in the Father’s estimation of its value. You are a precious piece in His “collection” His valuation of you is filled with loving purpose, let it sink in. You are precious, “worth more than many sparrows”; bought and paid for by the King of Kings whose taste is impeccable. What do you see when you look in the mirror? The reflection looking back tells a lot about you. If you see a happy, positive and ambitious person, chances are you’re going to see yourself in a bright light. If you’re waking up with a sense of direction, you have purpose. A sense of direction is often an indicator you’re on the right path to becoming who you’re meant to be in this world. On the other hand, if what you see is a mediocre, tired and unmotivated image, then your self-esteem has taken a toll. Always remember that you are priceless. Regardless of whether you’re rich or poor, tall or short, famous or not, you’re priceless. Don’t ever let anyone tell you differently. Keep courage. Whatever you do, do not feel sorry for yourself because you will win in a great age of opportunity.
YOU are important! You have a unique purpose, that only you can fulfill. What you think of yourself is much more important than what other people think of you.
No matter who you are, you can provide value. We each have an individual purpose that cannot be compared to everyone else. You have a different perspective to share. You can shed light on a situation that maybe no one else can possibly provide. You can utilize your unique experiences to help and positively influence others. In order to be the best you period, you must be willing to show yourself love by making time for yourself. In a world full of hustle and bustle it is easy to get so distracted and so far away from the notion that spending time with yourself is one of the best investments that we are able to make in our lives. We must be willing to make time for ourselves in order to realize who we really are, to figure out which directions that we want to go in life, and to be able to plan how to get there. We must also make time for ourselves because doing so will help keep us sane. Sure having company and being around uplifting positive people is definitely healthy for us, but we will always need that little bit of me time as regularly as possible in order to never forget who we are, and how important being ourselves is. At the end of the day, always remember that You Are Important. STOP comparing yourself to everyone else. Value, appreciate and learn from others, but don’t cut yourself short. We have all unique abilities and talents. Always remain Humble and Kind but believe in yourself and appreciate Your Own Value.
There is no one else in the world that comes even close to being like you. You have your own individual strengths and talents. You have your own unique perspective that provides a very special kind of insight for the world. Be sharing your experiences and viewpoints you can benefit the lives of others around you. You have faced special challenges in the world that no one else has. Life is a great big challenge for everyone, you have been bucked off the horse of life time and again, but always had the strength to climb back on. Your challenges have developed you into a stronger individual, turn your challenges into lessons and help others to learn from them. You can Provide Happiness. You can Provide Joy into the lives of others. Make sure to tell those around you whom you love and care for, how much You Do Care. Give them a hug and a smile. Not only tell them, but SHOW THEM each day. Love and care provides continuous fulfillment in your life and the lives of others, keep spreading your kindness and love. You never know whose day you may brighten. Your Love, Care and Kindness Makes a Difference. The version you are of yourself today is not who you will be in 10 years from now. During the journey of life we are meant to consistently learn and grow. The sad truth is that some people never learn this fact and stop pushing themselves to forward. Be a LEADER. Leadership is about inspiring and influencing others. Leadership is about influencing others to achieve their own Greatness. YOU can be a Leader. No matter who you are, YOU can positively influence and lead others. You can lend a helping hand. You can provide encouragement. YOU can make a difference in the lives of others. Never underestimate yourself and your capabilities. Be Passionate, Be Genuine, Be Yourself. And always remember that YOU MATTER. You Are Important.
How much of your life is spent trying to please others? How often do you sacrifice who you truly are to maintain a certain image or to fulfill an expectation others have of you? When was the last time you felt fully alive in your own skin? Or totally in alignment with your values and what really matters to you?
We are all created for a purpose, and the only way to even begin our journey of fulfilling that purpose is to first give ourselves the permission to be happy. When we have begun to take charge of our lives, to own ourselves, there is no longer any need to ask permission of someone. While being you and truly sharing what you do will bring happiness to others, you won’t find contentment merely trying to keep others happy by taking responsibility for our lives we not only gain control of what happens. It also becomes natural to feel like you deserve more in life as your self-esteem builds and as you do the right thing more consistently. You feel better about yourself and this is critically important because it’s most often you that are standing in your own way and in the way of your success. It’s you that start to self-sabotage or hold yourself back in subtle or not so subtle ways once you are on your way to the success you dream of. To remove that inner resistance you must feel and think that you actually deserve what you want. You may be able to do a little about that by affirmations and other positive techniques. But the biggest impact by far comes from taking responsibility for yourself and your life. By doing the right thing.
Make the best use of what is in your power, and take the rest as it happens. It is often said that your thoughts become your actions. But without taking responsibility for your life those thoughts often just stay on that mental stage and aren’t translated into action. Taking responsibility for your life is that extra ingredient that makes taking action more of a natural thing. You don’t get stuck in just thinking, thinking and wishing so much. You become proactive instead of passive.Taking responsibility for your life is great. But that is also all that you have control over. You can’t control the results of your actions. You can’t control how someone reacts to what you say or what you do and it’s important to know where your limits are. Otherwise you’ll create a lot unnecessary suffering for yourself and waste energy and focus by taking responsibility for what you can’t and never really could control and hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Don’t go into the business of pleasing people. You can’t please everybody. Simply do your best at what you do.
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared. Beauty might bring happiness, but happiness always brings beauty.
Happiness is the art of never holding in your mind the memory of any unpleasant thing that has passed. The way that the world functions today, we tend to think that our beauty is made up solely of the person that we see when we look in the mirror. Little do we realize our beauty is made up of the person that we are inside, not the person that we are on the outside. If we only allow people in our lives that only appreciate us for our beauty on the outside, we will never have real friendships or love.
So in essence, it is important for many of us to have a beautiful outwardly appearance, but the only appearance people will truly remember when we are gone is the mark we left on the world. What type of mark will you leave on the world? It is never too late to start working towards leaving the world in as positive a place that you may be able to make it. Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself; no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are completely; the good and the bad and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.
There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will. With that being said, the way we feel about the image we present to the world can greatly affect our confidence and the way we deal with people. Some of us may think that we weight too much, some of us may think our nose is too big or that our eyes are too wide. Too overcome this we have to challenge society, and tell ourselves that despite whatever everyone else says we know that we are beautiful. Try not avoiding the mirrors and every morning after you wash your face and every night before you go to bed, look in the mirror and tell yourself out loud that you are beautiful! Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy.
