When you are presented with a clear path toward a goal you would not have chosen for yourself, it’s important to check your motives. Achieving success in life isn’t just about intelligence, competence or experience. The key to beating your competition and succeeding is the ‘winning attitude.’
In every moment we can pick a new direction – how to act, how to react, how others’ moods, as well as how these decisions will affect you and how you will affect others. These choices are not made only once but every moment of every day. These decisions mould and sculpt your experiences and actions in the moment and eventually your day and life. When things happen that are not to your liking you can either allow them to bring you down or choose to find the opportunities in them. Your initial decision is what matters. Your choice to “do it” screams messages of hope and belief in yourself. Don’t get me wrong, not having things turn out the way you hoped totally stinks! But don’t let that beat you down and keep you there. Remember that your effort to make it happen is the most important part. Your time on this planet is very short. The more you put on your plate, the faster your time will go. The less time you’ll have for those things which matter most because a lot of people don’t do well simply because they major in minor things.
If you lack a clear and compelling vision, you will frequently be swayed by lesser goals. In such a case, you’ll be driven by achievement and/or external validation. Hence, there is an enormous difference between true success and achievement. Success is how you feel about yourself, and can only comes from living in alignment with who you truly want to be. Achievement is an external indicator of something you’ve done, which in itself doesn’t qualify you for success. You can only be successful spending as little time as possible on things you hate. It’s all about the right attitude. When life presents its numerous challenges, you begin to lose faith in your abilities. It is then that positive attitude helps you navigate all the difficulties and face the challenges boldly. It makes you better equipped to overcome the odds and puts you back on the road to success. Nothing happens unless you choose to act now. Change happens in the moment, not over time. The effect of what we choose, of the changes we have made, happen over time and we get to choose again and again in the moment.
What makes you different is what makes you stronger. You are a masterpiece uniquely designed by God. You can have tremendous victories, love, and abundance.
I find it incredibly amazing how at every sunset, the sky is a different shade. No cloud is ever in the same place. Each day is a new masterpiece. A new wonder. A new memory. Your thought should be creative and not destructive; it should be full of hope and faith for a more excellent future because you are God’s masterpiece. You are His finest, most beautiful work of art. He created you in His image. He created you perfect so stop treating yourself like a shattered piece. Sometimes, we take His perfection and make a big mess out of ourselves and our lives. We humans in our fallen state are messy. We are imperfect. Therefore, we desperately need the Ultimate Artist to take the scraps, the ephemera, the torn pieces of our hearts and lives, and make them into a beautiful work of art. How far you go in life and in your career is dependent on how far you can think good thoughts because your future is dependent on your thought today, therefore think good and lovely thoughts now.
Always set your mind to think thoughts of victory even before the battle begins, this way you will experience limitless possibilities. Your life today and tomorrow is patterned alongside your thoughts. You are therefore advised to create good and wonderful thoughts today so they will deliver a beautiful tomorrow for you. Our thoughts create our lifestyle, if you live healthy, it means you think healthy thoughts and if you think unhealthy thoughts, it will reflect in your health and lifestyle too. When your thought is right, your imaginations will be colourful; you will then dream and not have nightmares. Don’t give up on your greatest masterpiece — You. Think on blessings and not curses, beauty not ugliness, health not sickness. Meditate on wealth not poverty, success not failure, grace not disgrace and use the powerful tool of thought and develop your mindset to believing and knowing you can change anything to your favour; yes, you have God`s Word so fashion your thought according to God`s Word.
Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride. Even though the rest of the world may disagree you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
If you can do no good, at least do no harm because it takes faith and hope to be soft after people have hurt you so much but we can’t blame our hurt on the world if we are strong enough to endure the pain then you are strong enough to hold on to your faith and most of all hold the hope. Basically we are all just trying to muddle through the day with as much dignity as possible, and it’s nice to think that somewhere there are people who are capable of more. When we see impressive people, we desperately want their guidance. We want to hear what they, who seem so much wiser than their peers, have to say. We all have experienced things in life that have given us a sort of thick skin, or as some may say pain that has caused up to put up a guard. Protecting ourselves is just part of our human nature, naturally no one wants to be hurt, and when we realize the things that hurt us we tend to stay away from them, or if we do go around the things that have made us hurt before, we go around them skeptically, sometimes with the intent to cause those things the pain that they may have caused us. Our natural human instincts of survival may be correlated with the way we treat our relationships. Since many of us have been hurt, some of us go about relationships skeptically, and with the intentions of hurting someone before they may have a chance of hurting us. It is important to remember that keeping a guard is fine, but to also trust your heart. Remember that the world is still a beautiful place and there are still nice people in it, sometimes you just have to take a chance and never forget that ” Joy Cometh in the morning ” regardless of how dark it seems now because a purpose of human life, no matter who is controlling it, is to love whoever is around to be loved. There is no reason why good cannot triumph as often as evil. The triumph of anything is a matter of organization.
When we can appreciate the good things in our lives, it leads to a sense of well-being. No matter our struggles, there is always someone out there in the world who is struggling harder because you will never fully believe in yourself if you keep comparing yourself to everyone else. Instead, compare yourself to who you were yesterday.
Usually when we find ourselves struggling and going through difficult times, we tend to focus mainly on the negative sides of our own life. In order to become happy again, we have to shift the focus back and see all the great and little things that are going on around us. Sometimes it helps to realize that there are some people out there who are going through even more challenging times in their lives while having even more limitations, and yet, they find ways to live a life full of joy and happiness. Perhaps they are happier because they are satisfied with what God has given them. I think most of us are influenced by the advertising that is prevalent everywhere we look and are in a constant frame of mind that says “I want that”. Look around and find somebody who is happier with less than what you have and learn to appreciate all the little things again.
Smile at every chance you get. Not because life has been easy, perfect, or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have. Take a little bit of time out of your day to appreciate the little things in life that you may take for granted. I think that through this humbling experience, each and every one of us can understand just how lucky we are. There will always be people making more money than you do. Period. But it is not about how much money you make; it is about how you use the money you have. There is a difference between having resources and being resourceful. You might think you need more money to feel happy about yourself, but I guess you are just not using the money you have effectively enough. There are people out there making less money than you do and still manage to live a full and abundant lifestyle. There are endless possibilities out there, but oftentimes, we tend not to see them. If you want to get over a problem, stop mulling it over and talking about it. Your mind affects your mouth, and your mouth affects your mind. It’s nearly impossible to move beyond something when you’re obsessing over it. Sometimes people throw away something good for something better, only to find out later that good was actually good enough and better never even came close. Talk about your blessings more than you talk about your problems because Someone else is happy with far less than what you have.
When admiring other people’s gardens, don’t forget to tend to your own flowers because our lifestyle communicates a clear message about who we are and how we think.
Your life is a movie. You are the main character. You say your scripts and act to your lines. Of course you do your lines in each scene. There is a hidden camera and a director who you can ask for help anytime up above. Everything about us is sending a message to others about our level of intensity as well. The things we do, the things we say, even our appearance, suggests an inner attitude about life. If we are spending more money on donuts than we do on books, that suggests something about the sincerity of our desire for personal progress. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do. The way you think and feel about yourself, including your beliefs and expectations about what is possible for you, determines everything that happens to you. When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life, sometimes instantly. You have complete control over only one thing in the universe your thinking. You can decide what you are going to think in any given situation. Your thoughts and feelings determine your actions and determine the results you get. It all starts with your thoughts.
Everyone dreams but not everyone does because many of us dream of becoming wealthy, of having a beautiful home that is tended by others so that we will be free to enjoy ourselves. We dream of winning lotteries that will enable us to quit our jobs tomorrow and go off in pursuit of the good life. We dream of chauffeurs to drive us and servants to take care of us so that we can have all the time in the world to do whatever we want to do. Our brains are wired to find things we’re looking for if you’re always cynical or waiting for things to go wrong, then your life will reflect that. On the other hand, having a positive outlook on life will bring you joy and provide you with inspiration when you least expect it. Of course, there are times when it’s difficult to feel cheery or positive life can be difficult. It is when you lose sight of yourself, that you lose your way. To keep your truth in sight you must keep yourself in sight and the world to you should be a mirror to reflect to you your image; the world should be a mirror that you reflect upon. Also the people with whom you work reflect your own attitude. If you are suspicious, unfriendly and condescending, you will find these unlovely traits echoed all about you. But if you are on your best behavior, you will bring out the best in the persons with whom you are going to spend most of your working hours. If we wish to be wealthy, we must study wealth, and if we wish to be happy, we must study happiness. The combination of these two studies create the aura that we call lifestyle. Stop trying to be less of who you are. Let this time in your life cut you open and drain all of the things that are holding you back.
What makes friendship so priceless? It’s been said that the best things in life are free, and true friends are some of the best things in life that money can’t buy.
The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship and there comes a point in your life when you realize who really matters, who never did, and who always will. When times get hard and the going seems to get tougher to the point to where you want to give up, do the people around you influence you to give up, or do they influence you to keep going. This also should make us examine how good of a friend we are to those around us. Friends come in all shapes and sizes. A true friend really gets you. They like your flaws and all. They know what to say, and more importantly, when to say nothing at all. When you flip through the collage of people in your life, you may have some people in your corner that you can count on.
Do we encourage, do we persevere with our loved ones, do we believe in our loved ones and give them hope when they are greatly discouraged. If you can answer yes with confidence to all of those questions you are truly a great friend, and if you couldn’t it doesn’t make you any less of a friend, but it should make you realize certain things you may need to start doing to be more than just a good friend, but instead, a great friend. Sometimes in life, you find a special friend. Someone who changes your life just by being part of it. Someone who makes you laugh until you can’t stop. Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world. Someone who convinces you that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it. This is forever friendship. When you’re down and the world seems dark and empty, your forever friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and empty world suddenly seem bright and full. Your forever friend gets you through the hard times, the sad times and the confused times. If you turn and walk away, your forever friend follows. If you lose your way, your forever friend guides you and cheers you on. Your forever friend hold your hand and tells you that everything is going to be okay. And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete because you need not worry. You have a forever friend, and forever has no end.Choose your friends wisely, and that’s one of the best ways to level up in life. The opposite is also true because friends are the family you choose.
Do you feel like you’re “sleep-walking” through life? Do you wish you had more freedom? Do you wish you had more adventure? Do you wish you had more time? Do you wish you had more love? Making things positive doesn’t mean a sunny outlook; it means making the choice to see problems as opportunities. Every problem and difficult situation is embedded with a solution – the adventure lies in finding the solution because today is the first day of the rest of your life.
Each new day is a blank page in the diary of your life. The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story you possibly can and a strong positive mental attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug. I think anything is possible if you have the mindset and the will and desire to do it and put the time in. A positive attitude helps you in every walk of life. This can help you overcome life’s many obstacles with ease. A positive attitude can certainly take you places. Being optimistic about your approach can turn many situations in your favour. Today is a new day. Don’t let your history interfere with your destiny. Let today be the day you stop being a victim of your circumstances and start taking action towards the life you want. You have the power and the time to shape your life. Break free from the poisonous victim mentality and embrace the truth of your greatness. You were not meant for a mundane or mediocre life. Don’t choose your path in life based on the expectations set on you by others, whether its your parents, friends, or society in general.
Today is a new day. It’s a day you have never seen before and will never see again. Stop telling yourself the ‘same crap, different day’ lie. How many days has that lie stolen from you? Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today. Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go. Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens. It does not matter how long you are spending on the earth, how much money you have gathered or how much attention you have received. It is the amount of positive vibration you have radiated in life that matters, because you are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. When you are joyful, when you say yes to life and have fun and project positivity all around you, you become a sun in the center of every constellation, and people want to be near you. Life is like a game of chess. To win you have to make a move. Knowing which move to make comes with IN-SIGHT and knowledge, and by learning the lessons that are acculated along the way because we become each and every piece within the game called life!
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
There are too many things in this world do not have a perfect or a definite answer. Some answer will unfold naturally as you proceed in life, while some answer will never reveal by itself unless you seek it attentively. We need to always remember that life is like a road trip without a map; as you travel along the highway of life, you stop at different places, veer off down unknown roads, change direction every now and again and sometimes, although you hate to admit it, you get lost. Sadly, there are some of who insist on taking the map with them, making sure that nothing is uncertain, that all roads are clearly mapped out and getting lost is never a possibility. In life, whenever you feel confused, frustrated, lost or do not know what you really want, you can always seek guidance from your heart. The best way to get over your fear is to do what you’re most afraid of. You’ll feel more accomplished, fulfilled, happy, peaceful, and ultimately, more alive. Let your fears fuel your passion instead of allowing them to stunt your progress. If more people allowed their hearts rather than minds to serve as their compass, this whole world would explode with passion and people following their dreams. Leave fear behind and embrace the courage within you! All of us have it, and you are no different. You are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to, if you just believe in the power within.
The idea of making an impact in life is nothing new. Doing things that have a profound positive effect on those around us means that we both stand out in people’s minds, and also leave a lasting impression of what is possible with the right actions and decisions. Life is a courageous journey or nothing at all. We cannot become who we want to be by continuing to do exactly what we’ve been doing. Choose to listen to your inner voice, not the jumbled opinions of everyone else. Do what you know in your heart is right for YOU. It’s your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you. And be sure to appreciate every day of your life. Good days give you happiness, bad days give you experience, and the worst days give you the best lessons. Sometimes we don’t notice the things others do for us until they stop doing them. Don’t be like that. Be grateful for what you have, who loves you, and who cares for you. You’ll never know how much they mean to you until the day they’re no longer beside you. Truly appreciate those around you, and you’ll soon find many others around you. Learn to recognize the negative thoughts you have. These are the self-doubts, the criticisms of others, the complaints, the reasons you can’t do something. Then stop yourself when you have these thoughts, and replace them with positive thoughts. Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it to live. Instead of just going along in your usual way take a day off from that. And smile towards everyone you meet because if you’re lucky enough to have something that makes you different from everybody else, don’t change. Uniqueness is priceless.
The consistency in your person from home to work is vitally important so that you are in total balance at all times. Being out of balance means that your true self will start to be confused with what you pretend to be. A well-balanced person has a far greater ability to focus their attention and energy on attaining their goals, taking productive actions and moving forward in a meaningful way.
In each of us lie good and bad, light and dark, art and pain, choice and regret, cruelty and sacrifice. We’re each of us our own chiaroscuro, our own bit of illusion fighting to emerge into something solid, something real. We’ve got to forgive ourselves that. I must remember to forgive myself. Because there is a lot of grey to work with. No one can live in the light all the time. Many people think that having a balanced life means spending the same number of hours on work as you do on personal activities. This is a big mistake, because most of the time it’s not realistic. Being so deeply engaged with your job that you can’t stop doing it infers you are living your purpose. A great thing! The problem arises when you start to neglect other important areas of your life. Areas which, if not balanced, will negatively influence your ability to be successful and happy. In our lives, we have all kinds of priorities, obligations, relationships, interests, and activities that compete for our time. We have the things that we really must do, like going to school, going to work, caring for others, and paying bills. We also have things that we enjoy and make us happy, like spending time with family and friends, working on a hobby, or playing on a team. Balance is how we do the things we have to do and the things we want to do…without changing the number of hours in the day. The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man.
To truly achieve success, you must live your life in balance. Change your perspective by thinking first about the life you want to live and then about the job and career which fits into that life and can support it financially. And it means really understanding our own boundaries and needs so that we have the freedom to pursue all the various roles and identities we have or want to have in life. Finding balance leads to greater life satisfaction and well-being—which improves your ability to find balance in the future. To define what will work for you, you need to take into consideration that life is constantly changing. The right balance for you today, may not be the right balance for you tomorrow or next week or next month, because over time your priorities change. The one constant in knowing you have a balanced life is the feeling of accomplishment and happiness you enjoy every day. We all have the same twenty-four hours in a day. And we cannot possibly do everything that we want to do and everything that everyone else wants us to do. So a big part of leading a more balanced life is to cut down on unnecessary tasks and protect your priorities. When requests or conflicts are set before you, ask yourself: “Is this going to give me a feeling of accomplishment and a feeling of happiness?” Letting go helps us to to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. It allows others to be responsible for themselves and for us to take our hands off situations that do not belong to us. This frees us from unnecessary stress. If you’re interested in ‘balancing’ work and pleasure, stop trying to balance them. Instead make your work more pleasurable. In all aspects of our lives balance is key. Doing one thing too much can cause upset, like the old saying goes, everything in moderation is the secret!
Although the world is full of suffering it is also full of the overcoming of it. It is not in the still calm of life, or the repose of a pacific station, that great characters are formed. The habits of a vigorous mind are formed in contending with difficulties.
When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. Even though challenges can seem like anything but blessings, there is a way to view them from a different perspective. Looking at obstacles as opportunities is the key to learning from the tests and trials of life. After this reframing paradigm becomes habitual, you will automatically be more empowered to see the good side of everything – even the greatest challenge. When we’re working toward that goal, the last thing we want is to face vast, unexpected challenges or obstacles. When that happens, it usually means a major delay, greater expense, or some other unplanned complication. When we are focused on results it is hard to appreciate the detours caused by new challenges.
Our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change. The world is a mysterious place full of troubles, obstacles, challenges, hard times, ghettos, those without, but we must also take time to think of the success stories that the world has produced as well. One major reason why a challenge might intimidate us is because we don’t feel capable of handling it. We may have a limited perception of our own abilities, so we automatically believe that the challenge is bigger than we are. If we learn to see each challenge as an opportunity to become stronger and more capable, everything changes. We can use challenging situations to unlock our untapped strengths and abilities. Each time we do this it will increase our confidence until we begin to see most challenges as opportunities to harness our personal power to an even greater degree.
A positive mindset can create an amazing difference in an individual’s life. If you view challenges as blessings in disguise, you will be able to more effectively cope with change. Where hardships are concerned, the right attitude makes all the difference in the world. And asking yourself the right questions can be just what you need to cast the challenge you are facing in a positive light. Even though we might believe that our goals only affect us personally, that is rarely the case. What we do, how we think and feel, and our course of action has an impact on the people around us. Not only do other people watch the things we do and how we live our life – they often model their own behavior after ours. If you refuse to let challenges intimidate you or slow you down, you just might inspire and motivate others to do the same when they face obstacles of their own. Anytime you experience personal growth, you help the people around you in some way. This world can be cold and cruel if you let it, but if you just look at every obstacle as a new challenge that you are more than able to overcome, your suffering will be minimal, and your rewards will be great. If you are facing a new challenge or being asked to do something that you have never done before don’t be afraid to step out. You have more capability than you think you do but you will never see it unless you place a demand on yourself for more.
