The moment when you first wake up in the morning is the most wonderful of the twenty-four hours. No matter how weary or dreary you may feel, you possess the certainty that, during the day that lies before you, absolutely anything may happen. And the fact that it practically always doesn’t, matters not a jot. The possibility is always there. You only live once; but if you live it right, once is enough. When we encounter situations in which we feel something in the air, unless it is against your morals and values, try letting yourself go and letting whatever is about to happen, happen. You would be surprised to see how relieving and refreshing it may be to let things happen for once. The only one that will know if it is right to let the moment play out is you, so even though you let yourself go, take caution and don’t over analyze but do think of the consequences. Knowledge helps you enjoy life more. Knowledge engages the mind, opens doors to the imagination. Life becomes a kaleidoscope of wonders, filled with people, places and experiences you never thought possible. The more knowledge you gain, the more fulfilling living becomes. As you live, your thirst for knowledge grows. Don’t ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion.
The purpose of life is to contribute in some way to making things better. Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire. It is important to go into the world and make a success for yourself, but only if you are going to use this success in order to help other people in the world succeed. Actual wealth cannot be measured by how much money or material items you may have, wealth can truly only be measured by the number of people that you helped make a positive enough impact on to succeed as well by the end of your lifetime. Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work. No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence. ever underestimate the difference YOU can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help. This week reach to someone that might need a lift.
There are few ways in our everyday lives we can turn the light on. For example, smile when your day just seems as though everything that can possibly go wrong is going wrong, instead of telling everyone that you are having such a horrible day. Try to be the positive one out of a group of negative people, trying to influence everyone to see the good in things in spite of the negative. Remember that a few positive words and thoughts can greatly affect the way you perceive your day, and may greatly affect its outcome. I truly believe that there are times in our lives that we are given a place to breakdown. It is through this “breaking down experience,” we undergo a powerful transformation, letting go of all that no longer serves us, arriving at a moment of awakening. Now we rebuild ourselves, truly discovering who we are, what we are about and everything that we stand for — from the ground up. These are the powerful moments of true awakening.
God will never leave you empty. If something is taken away, He will replace it with something better. If He denies your request in a certain area, it is because He wishes to give you what is best. If He asks you to put something down, it is so you can pick up something greater.
Most people are too attached to the past, to what they are familiar with, and therefore, miss opportunities that stand right in front of them. Doors may close, but there are always, other, unlimited number of doors – new opportunities. The world is full of opportunities, if we could only see them. The Infinite Power is boundless, and so the possibilities are without number. Not every plan works out. Sometimes, there are losses and failures. Sometimes, there are problems in relationships. Sometimes, people lose their money or job, or meet other unpleasant things. We don’t always have control over these events, but we can exercise control over our mind and attitude.
At times we endure trials so difficult we wonder how we’ll come through it. Life in a broken world means all of us experience loneliness and isolation in various ways. While it is excruciating to be left alone, a startling question we don’t always get to ask ourselves is: what if we only had ourselves and our own thoughts and feelings to talk to? Where would we be?
Mercifully, the Lord never intended for us to be alone, especially the deepest place: our souls. When we really get that promise, when you know that promise way down deep in your knower, it’ll revolutionize your life. When everything else is stripped away, when all the things we are attached to are gone, we discover that in the end, only God holds life. It’s only God who matters. And his promise is certain. When all else is gone, there is still God. God’s sweet voice saying, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
God is teaching us the only place for your trust is in him. Everything else will fade or let you down. Don’t put your trust in what you have. Life is not what you have. Hear it again: Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ Trust God and him alone. That’s the one sure thing – God’s promise of his presence.
What I have learned over the years is to try to stay in the moment. I want to feel it all because I’ve realized nothing lasts. We have nothing that is really our own; we hold everything in this world as a loan. Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. Last but not least we must leave a mark on this world. We can either leave this world being remembered for the good that we have done, for the bad we have done, or even worse, not be remembered at all. Every day starting today we should take steps towards greatness, and take steps towards creating a legacy that will not only affect our generation, but generations and generations to come. What mark will you leave on the world when your time is over on this earth? People die, I think, but your relationship with them doesn’t. It continues and is ever-changing. So cherish everything that you have today as nothing lasts forever otherwise you’ll regret it after losing them.
